The Story So Far

A Family Journal Becoming Something More

Charlotte Martin, founder of Martins Managed, smiling outdoors

I spent 14 years in corporate America learning how to manage priorities, people, systems, strategy and change.

Then I became a mother, moved from Florida to Texas, had a second baby, landed in an amazing family-forward community and started seeing life through a completely different lens.

Martins, Managed began as a family journal — a place to record our days, trips, meals, and small moments.

Now, it is slowly becoming something more: a place to explore modern motherhood, meaningful work, family systems, travel with kids, recipes, and the invisible operating system behind a well-lived life.

This is not a launch, exactly. It is a season of building what’s next.

Not perfect. Not performative. Not anti-career.

Just a thoughtful look at what it means to manage a full life without actually missing the life inside it.

Motherhood and Meaningful Work

The rhythms, routines, calendars, meal planning, groceries, childcare notes and recurring decisions that keep family life moving, automated as much as possible to reduce the mental load.

This is where my corporate strategy brain meets our real-life family calendar.

A real-time look at ambition, identity, career transition and what happens when the version of success I spent years chasing starts to evolve.

Not less ambitious. More honest.

Recipes and Family Staples

Parties, holidays, gifting, traditions, hosting, and travel with kids — the memory-making parts of family life that feel more magical when the backend is handled.

This is where thoughtful planning makes room for wonder.

Family Systems

Magic, Managed

A place to keep the recipes from our mothers and grandmothers, the ones I’ve made my own and the meals I want my children to remember.

This is where the food we love becomes part of the family record.

A Note on the Family Journal

This Journal Was Started for Us

It was a place to write down the family stories, travel days, ordinary days, recipes, milestones and little moments I knew I would want to remember later.

As this space evolves, keep an eye out for the packing tips, recipes, travel lessons, family systems and reflections that could help someone else feel a little more prepared, present or less alone.

Not everything makes it here. But what does is real.

Our Family Motto

Stay present.

Help others.
